In rural Tanzania schools are traditionally run by teachers and monitored by authorities. This leaves communities with little involvement in the education which shapes the futures of their children.

Tanzed’s school management project concentrates on raising awareness amongst school committee members and parents to empower them to make decisions about the schools where they send their children.

We hold regular seminars to help the members learn about their roles, duties and responsibilities.
